It looks like this season will have just as many teams as last, and your D.A.D. is ready! With 2 courts running at once, we should be able to easily accomodate all players in a single time frame. Lately, the big buzz has been, "Are we really starting on Easter?" And the answer is yes. "Will there be an Easter Egg Hunt?" No. But we will have brand spanking new dodgeballs, and you can throw them at each other! But don't fret my pets, the first day, as usual, will be a non-points, instructional type day. Most of us have played with D.A.D. and his balls, so there will be nothing won or gained that day. But if you haven't played with us yet, set your delivery time for your Easter pizza a little later than usual so you can get attuned with our style, because come week 2, there is no love lost, and heads will roll....all in the name of fun, of course!
Well, on Friday May 27th, on the tennis courts at Irving Park(across from Dieruff High School), beginning at 8pm, we will have a regular season day. The following Sunday, the 29th, our ten best players, determined by the players, will be playing at a tournament at Mayfair. That will let us end our regular season on June 26th. After the D.A.D. Cup, stroll on over to the Rose Garden #3 Pavilion (walking distance from the court), for the trophy presentation, and where all players and families can eat, drink, and be merry. We will then have a independent tournament at Cedar Beach that following July 3rd, for all those interested.
